Much of Cliff's practice involves assisting Personal Representatives of estates (Executors or Administrators) in applying for Grants of Probate or Administration. He provides those clients with the ongoing legal advice required for the administration and distribution of estates.   The balance of his practice consists of advising clients in the planning and drafting of wills, enduring powers of attorney, and personal directives.

Cliff is also a trained mediator and so is able to provide his clients with an alternative approach to dispute resolution regarding estate settlements and related matters.

Cliff has taught the Wills course for three years at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law.  He is also a frequent speaker to community groups concerning wills and estate matters.  He has been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada, Trusts and Estates practice, for a number of years.

Cliff has served as Chairman of the Executive of the Canadian Bar Wills/Estates - Calgary Section.  He has sat on the Research Ethics Board for the Gimbel Eye Foundation, the Planned Giving Advisory Committee of the Red Cross Society (Western Canada), Operation Eyesight Universal and the Planned Giving Committee for the Calgary Health Trust.

Cliff is married to Margot and they have two grown children.  Over the past number of years, Cliff and Margot have been involved in the formation and direction of Partners In Deed Society, a charitable organization working alongside barrio communities in the Dominican Republic, and which supports local initiatives involving education, medical care, nutrition and clean water.
