Born and raised in Edmonton, Karen graduated from U of A law school in 1978. Soon after, she moved to Calgary with her husband (they now have two grown children) and she has lived and practiced here ever since.
Several years ago Karen made the transition back to private practice, after a long career with the provincial government.
Karen’s clients come from all walks of life and vary in age and circumstance. She loves meeting new people and says that getting to know her clients allows her to prepare a Will and other estate planning documents specific to the needs of each one.
A large part of Karen’s legal practice is devoted to guardianship and trusteeship, usually related to adults with lifelong disabilities, or older adults.
