Kelsey Humphries
B.A., J.D., TEP
Year of Call: 2016
Kelsey’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning and adult guardianship and trusteeship applications. She also advises on estate administration matters.
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Criminology) from the University of Calgary in 2010. She completed her law degree at Thompson Rivers University, earning her JD in 2015, before returning to Alberta where she articled at a full service law firm in Camrose. Kelsey was called to the Alberta bar in 2016 and earned her Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from STEP Canada in 2019. Prior to joining Underwood Gilholme, Kelsey spent 8 years in-house as an Estate and Trust Consultant at a national trust company where she assisted clients with their tax, estate, and philanthropic planning.
Outside of work, Kelsey, her husband, and their three children spend most of their time at their cabin in her hometown of Invermere, BC. Having grown up ski racing at Panorama, Kelsey still spends her winters in the mountains but has replaced her love of back country and heli-skiing with days spent on the beginner hills with her toddlers.
